It will help you improve your reading and writing skills in English. We have chosen the texts and tasks carefully to offer an interesting and challenging mix of topics and language styles. We have included contemporary uses of English such as email and the Internet. This book has a lot of practice exercises to help you with reading and writing. When you see this symbol ( ) at the end of an exercise it means that you can refer to the answer key at the back of the book and check your answers there. Although we encourage the use of dictionaries, our advice is not to use one until you have done all the exercises in a section. If you use your dictionary too early you may find it more difficult to understand the general meaning of the text.
