В учебных планах вузов появились дисциплины, которые прежде практически не изучались. К таковым, в частности, относится и курс "Мировая экономика: современные экономические системы", являющийся одной из профилирующих дисциплин для направлений образования "Мировая экономика и международные экономические отношения", "Регионоведение", а также способствующая более глубокому пониманию дисциплин специализации "Мировая экономика и геополитика", "История зарубежных стран", "История и теория международных отношений" и др.
