INTERNET SURFING SAFELY: PROTECTION ISSUES FOR CHILDREN AND YOUNG ADULTS INTERNET POLICIES AND ISSUES. VOLUME 6
This book is a review of the effectiveness of the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA” or “the Act”) to address privacy and safety risks created when children under 13 years of age (“children”) use the Internet. To protect children, the Act imposes requirements on operators of websites or online services directed to children, and other operators with actual knowledge that they have collected personal information from children. The Act generally mandates that such operators must provide notice of their privacy policies; obtain verifiable parental consent prior to collecting personal information from children; allow parents to review and delete personal information that their children have provided; and establish and maintain reasonable procedures to protect the security of personal information collected from children.

IT Client Architekturkonzepte im Vergleich
This study should be a help for decision makers to choose the best IT client architecture for their companies. In this regard the thesis compares the advantages and disadvantages of different IT client architectures. The focus is thereby put on the possibility to bring your own IT device to work, the usage of a thin client architecture and a classic architecture with company-owned devices. For this purpose a literature review helps to identify the corresponding characteristics for the selected technologies. To present the results a three-dimensional morphological box is used. The morphological box contains the most important decision criteria. The key features are the existing need for security, the personnel structure and the enterprise size. Through the selection of the appropriate criteria a decision maker will get an individual recommendation for his company.

Ragged RevolutionaRies The Lumpenproletariat and African American Marxism in Depression- Era Literature
While studying the literary and political radicalism of the Great Depression, I came to feel that the writers of the Depression left who best grasped the basic insights described in “The Little Man at Chehaw Sta - tion” were certain African American Communists, including the young Ellison himself, whose entryway into Marxism during the 1930s was not the proletariat, but the transients, criminals, underworld operators, and outlaws of modern society.

Realism in Modern Spanish Literature and Culture
The concept of realism, in both a formal and historical sense, is notori-ously hard to define. Realism is traditionally understood in an aesthetic and conceptual sense as a mimetic mode of representation that approxi-mates our experience of the world we inhabit, thus endowing it with an exceptional flexibility, given the physical, emotional, and psychological ways in which human beings understand their environment.
