The Treasure of Ulugbek
Odil Yoqubov, a talented representative of Uzbek literature contributed his own share in developing Uzbek prose with a number of his works. His novel entitled "The Treasure of Ulugbek" is dedicated to give more information about the tragic life of the scientist and king Mirzo Ulugbek, different contradictions in the last periods of his life. The novel also includes the literary interpretations of the life, work and Ali Kushchi who was follower of Mirzo Ulugbek. The facts about the contradictions between Mirzo Ulugbek and his son Mirzo Abdulatif, his fight for his father's throne, the betrayals of some palace officials inspired by this were described in the series of events in the novel from the point of view of historical truth. Besides, we can read about Mirzo Ulugbek's follower Ali Kushchi's trust, devotion to his teacher. According to the novel, Ali Kushchi didn't change his attitude to his teacher at a time of betrayal; on the contrary, he tried to save his scientific efforts by risking his life. These kinds of events are considered literary expressions of historical truth.
