Risk Propagation Assessment for Network Security Application to Airport Communication Network Design
Risk assessment is generally considered as the core of the computational framework in a risk management process for a network information system. This process is mandatory and crucial for the protection of interconnected systems that provide various services to their clients or users. Traditionally, system vulnerabilities are identified, determining the occurrence of threats being exploited, and evaluating the consequences of attacks that could take advantage of these security weaknesses. Having assessed the risks, security countermeasures (which could be technical or operational) are identified and then implemented to mitigate those risks.

RF and Microwave Engineering Fundamentals of Wireless Communications
This textbook aims to provide students with a fundamental and practical understanding of the basic principles of radio frequency and microwave engineering as well as with physical aspects of wireless communications. In recent years, wireless technology has become increasingly common, especially in the fields of communication (e.g. data networks, mobile telephony), identification (RFID), navigation (GPS) and detection (radar). Ever since, radio applications have been using comparatively high carrier frequencies, which enable better use of the electromagnetic spectrum and allow the design of much more efficient antennas. Based on low-cost manufacturing processes and modern computer aided design tools, new areas of application will enable the use of higher bandwidths in the future. If we look at circuit technology today, we can see that high-speed digital circuits with their high data rates reach the radio frequency range. Consequently, digital circuit designers face new design challenges: transmission lines need a more refined treatment, parasitic coupling between adjacent components becomes more apparent, resonant structures show unintentional electromagnetic radiation and distributed structures may offer advantages over classical lumped elements. Digital technology will therefore move closer to RF concepts like transmission line theory and electromagnetic field-based design approaches.

Reflectarray Antennas. Theory, Designs, and Applications
Communicating over long distances had long been a dream for mankind until 1901 when Marconi demonstrated the first cross Atlantic wireless signal transmission. Since then, long distance communications have evolved to a degree where mankind can communicate wirelessly across the Solar System and beyond. Long distance communication requires large antennas in order to establish the wireless link between the transmitter and receiver. One of the most practical types of electrically large antennas are reflectors. While reflectors were originally built as optical devices, the discovery of electromagnetic waves by Maxwell, began a new era for communication with these antennas. The first experimental demonstration of wireless communication by Hertz in 1887, used a dipole-fed cylindrical parabolic antenna, which is believed to be the first reflector antenna operating at non-optical frequencies. Since then, reflectors have become the most widely used high-gain antenna in communications, radio astronomy, remote sensing, and radar.

Random Matrix Methods for Wireless Communications
