Предметом начертательной геометрии является изложение и обоснование способов точного изображения пространственных Форм в двух измерениях. Изображения, построенные по правилам, изучаемым в начертательной геометрии, позволяют мысленно представить форму предмета, определить точные размеры и расположение в пространстве, изучать свойства геометрического характера, связанные с видом и расположением изображаемых предметов.

Entertainment Engineering. what has Engineering to do with Entertainment, other than the design of roller coasters. The reality is that engineering lies behind almost every type of entertainment, from the press that printed this book, through special effects in many movies, to the creation of "rides" based upon flight simulators and industrial robots. Entertainment has more influence on popular culture than almost anything you can name. In this book we begin in Part 1 by looking at the entertainment industry in general, with a focus on delighting the customers. We ask what is unique/special about the domain Entertainment, we look at the broad scope of Entertainment, and end by asking the reader to think about their own entertainment preferences. In Part 2 we examine exactly how the behind-the-scenes engineering contributes to many specific types of entertainment.

Engineering. An Introduction for High School

Much of our modern society depends on engineered artifacts to function, but many members of modern society are not aware of the engineering techniques and practices that have developed the technology and infrastructure on which we rely. iPods, cell phones, airplanes, bridges, buildings, vehicles, computers, etc. are designed and created by engineers. This textbook introduces engineering techniques and practices to high school students. The goals of this book are to help students gain an appreciation for engineering and its role throughout human history, understand what engineers do, understand the skills and processes engineers bring to their work, and appreciate how the work of engineers shapes and is shaped by their society. The authors hope that this book may inspire students to pursue a career in engineering.

Digital rubbish. A natural history of electronics

This is a study of the material life of information and its devices; of electronic waste in its physical and electronic incarnations; a cultural and material mapping of the spaces where electronics in the form of both hardware and information accumulate, break down, or are stowed away. Electronic waste occurs not just in the form of discarded computers but also as a scatter of information devices, software, and systems that are rendered obsolete and fail. Where other studies have addressed "digital" technology through a focus on its immateriality or virtual qualities, Gabrys traces the material, spatial, cultural, and political infrastructures that enable the emergence and dissolution of these technologies. In the course of her book, she explores five interrelated "spaces" where electronics fall apart: from Silicon Valley to Nasdaq, from containers bound for China to museums and archives that preserve obsolete electronics as cultural artifacts, to the landfill as material repository. All together, these sites stack up into a sedimentary record that forms the "natural history" of this study.

Digital Light

Digital Light brings together artists, curators, technologists and media archaeologists to study the historical evolution of digital light-based technologies. It provides a critical account of the capacities and limitations of contemporary digital light-based technologies and techniques by tracing their genealogies and comparing them with their predecessor media. Including accounts by prominent artists and professionals, the collection emphasises the centrality of use and experimentation in the shaping of technological platforms. Contributions include considerations of image-oriented software and file formats; screen technologies; projection and urban screen surfaces; histories of computer graphics, 2D and 3D image editing software, photography and cinematic art; and transformations of light-based art resulting from the distributed architectures of the internet and the logic of the database.

Design and engineering of microreactor and smart-scaled flow processes

Microreactors are small devices with sub-millimeter internals which have superb mass and heat transfer. Initially, they were used for reactions with very high demands on the latter, e.g. very exothermic reactions, gas-liquid reactions with interfacial transport issues, reactions with very fast kinetics which demands even faster mixing, and more. In this way, the processing window was opened widely and, also due to the minute volumes only present in the reaction zone, safe processing under otherwise hazardous conditions was enabled. This includes processing of reactions which are prone to thermal runaway and in the explosive regime. Scale-up of promising reactions and products which was hindered with conventional technology is now possible using the new equipment. This has widened the process development possibilities in chemical industry.
