Fintech, Digital Currency and the Future of Islamic Finance

FinTech has garnered an increasing amount of interest in recent years. Banks and financial institutions are taking steps to catch up with the digital and FinTech wave. At the outset, the new trends that are emerging in financial communities, such as digital banking, have been challenging the hegemony of the incumbent banks whose business model has remained constant over several years despite the changing industry landscape. Simultaneously, AI (Artificial Intelligence) is key to the future of digital banking, and more importantly, ethics in AI application is a recurring theme in the literature. Likewise, microfinancing, through the use of FinTech technologies, has opened up the banking sector to an entirely neglected part of the business sector. Recently due to the COVID-19 pandemic, digital finance has garnered much support from the users in GCC and beyond and FinTech will further drive the digital transformation of the financial services industry.

The aim of this book is to present the important practical problems in gynecology and obstetrics. The book is divided into two parts, the first of which deals essentially with gynecology and the second with obstetrics. The importance of having a method in making an examination is especially emphasized by the author, but he overlooks systematization in the plan of his book. His chapters on pregnancy, pelvimetry, diagnosis of presentation and position by abdominal palpation and the rectal examination, and the postpartum examination, are placed in the gynecologic and not in the obstetric section. The subjects are admirably presented, the information is accurate, and the advice given is sound and practical except in a few instances. For sterility the author advises "a diet rich in all vitamins but especially vitamin A" (p. 101). He probably means vitamin E. Not many will agree that sterility can be successfully combated by a
